The first time Americana singer-songwriter, Gloria Anderson, performed in Nashville was at historic The Bluebird Cafe Open Mic in 2021. Since, Anderson has sold-out a show at The Bluebird Cafe, headlined the PNC Plaza Stage at The Ryman, and won Belmont University’s 2022 Songwriter’s Showcase. She placed third in the preliminary round of the 2021 Tennessee Songwriter's Week Competition with her original, “Magnolia,” and later, “Magnolia” placed as a semifinalist in the Music City SongStar competition. In addition, Anderson placed second in the preliminary round of the Tennessee Songwriter's Week Competition with her original, “Households” in 2022. Upon returning to Texas, Gloria was invited to play her original material live on 92.3 The Ranch FM (Texas) and was the first featured Rising Texas Songwriter to sell-out the Hilltop Cafe. Anderson was featured at the BMI Saxon Pub Songwriter’s Series in May of 2023. Gloria's years of musical preparation landed her opportunities to organize and manage a Summer Tour with Cole Ritter & The Night Owls. Together, they played in Ohio and Texas at venues including the Celina Summer Series, Hemi Hideout, Cheatham Street Warehouse, Redbird Listening Room and Sam’s Burger Joint. That summer, her musical horizons even spread to the midwest as she performed at the 2022 Illinois State Fair Grand Central Stage. Gloria Anderson is currently based in Nashville, and continues to emerge as a Texas singer-songwriter, artist and storyteller.
